It watches your work surface.

One overhead camera and one microphone turn the session into timestamped evidence: what moved, what went in the pan, what you asked. Nothing more than the session, and never without the recording light.

It keeps one world state.

Evidence is reconciled with your plan into a single persistent state: vessels, ingredients, heat, timers, ambiguity, hazards. When you correct it, the correction is appended, not rewritten.

3.0 · intervene

It speaks when it counts.

Timers and measurements are owned by deterministic code, not guesses. Jef talks when the expected value of interrupting is high: a timer, a likely mistake, a safety risk. Otherwise the kitchen sounds like cooking.
