Terms
These terms cover the landing page, the waitlist, and the Jef beta app. By using them you accept these terms. They are short on purpose.
The beta
Jef is in beta. Parts of it are unfinished, may change without notice, and may be interrupted. We may add or remove features, pause access, or end the beta. We do not promise that Jef is available at any particular time, and during the beta it is provided as is, without warranties beyond what the law requires.
Your account
You need an account to use the app. Keep your sign-in method secure and tell us if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Using Jef fairly
Do not use Jef to break the law, to harm others, or to attack the service.
- No unlawful, harmful, or deceptive use.
- No probing, overloading, or bypassing the service’s limits or other people’s accounts.
- No reselling or rebranding the service without an agreement with us.
We may suspend an account that puts the service or other people at risk.
Your recordings and content
What you record belongs to you. To run the service we need permission to process it, and that permission covers only operating and improving Jef for you: storing a session, replaying it, understanding what happened, and showing it back to you. Anything beyond that, such as using a session to improve Jef, is opt-in per session and revocable. Our privacy page describes the details, including deletion.
Jef is a cooking assistant, not a safety device
Jef helps with timing, state, and questions while you cook. It does not replace your judgement, and it must not be relied on for food safety. When Jef is unsure, it says so, and you decide. Always use your own senses for doneness, allergens, and anything that could make someone ill.
Feedback
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve Jef without obligation to you. Tell us if something is confidential and we will treat it that way.
Our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or lost profits arising from the beta. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, and nothing affects your statutory consumer rights.
Ending it
You can stop using Jef at any time and ask us to delete your account. We can end or suspend access if these terms are broken or if the beta ends. If the beta ends, we will give you a way to export or delete your data before access closes.
Which law applies
These terms follow Swedish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protections of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change in a way that matters, we update the date at the top and tell you where you can see it. Continuing to use Jef after a change means you accept the new version.
